I am sad to have paid for this as figures are from 2008 and greece still have a rather good deficit to GDP.... Useless

World in Figures 2011 shows figures from 2008. Misleading! Not worthy of the Economist.
Figures are outdated. No data vizualization to visually compare the results.
I am rather satisfied, thumbs up for the good work.
:)
Great source of information.
The best app!
Data are old (2009), which makes it almost useless in a world that is changing so fast
It is a more or less fun informational app. Sadly still alot of info is missing and therefore in some areas useless (no information on infant mortality in the USA? Come on...)
Its a Good App, i like it a lot, but it would be great if the data would be more actual.
Easy to use, very informative.
A bit simple, especially the country data. You can produce charts for different countries and indicators and forward them by email. But its not possible to open the email link. Thats why only 2 stars.
Very useful. Key success factor is actuality of figures. Now that these have been updated, I use it everyday.
Very disappointing. The subjects chosen seem random and are very incomplete (wheres house prices?). Not up to The Economists standards. A waste of $0.99. - back to google and Wikipedia, everyone.
UI design is pretty nice, but since most of data are from 2008, it should not be called 2011 edition
I cant believe The Economist put their name to this poorly executed piece of junk. Im using it on an iPad, and once youre looking at a particular data set, theres no way to get back to the home screen without terminating the app. Very poorly designed user interface. Also, its difficult to conduct a meaningful comparison between countries since there arent a lot of countries included in each data set.
This app is extremely disapointing. Coming from The Economist, I would have expected a well structured layout and much better data. Instead, we get a confusing tool with limited information. Furthermore, some pages do not work properly and the data does not show up. I certainly do not recommend this app.
I was expecting to be disappointed. Very good App. I have book too and it compares with it with additional features. Would be nice to have house prices and history. I am surprised with how good the app is. Navigation is excellent. Thanks.
I expected it to be like the economist booklet of the same name, but alas it is sadly lacking in much detail in comparison. Also not sized for ipad. Stays as iPod size in screen centre.
Not in the same league as the paper edition. There is no point in adding features such as "compare" if you do not include all countries in the data set.
